Finally, the coils of the inner motor are sprayed with a commercial disinfectant. If you prefer, you can spray it with a mixture of dish soap and water.
Before returning the filter to its unit, it must be washed with mild soap and water. The soap will be rinsed off, and any excess water will be removed by tapping the filter on the counter. After spraying the coils, the solution should be left to soak in. You can then wipe the coils with a soft cloth or brush.
The cleaned unit is restored to its original status by reversing the order of the previous steps. The unit should be cleaned once or twice a year. If you have any serious problem with your AC, you should contact an AC service.
